• Workers rally at Fenway Park days before a Strike Authorization Vote

Aramark Fenway Workers May Strike at America’s Oldest Ballpark

Aramark workers at Fenway Park and MGM Music Hall voted 95% YES to authorize a strike. The workers have been without a contract since January 1, 2025. They are fighting for living wages, limits on automation, increased gratuities for Premium workers, and fair scheduling.

A strike can be called at any time.

During a strike, union members would be outside of the park picketing and would not be serving food or drinks, attending suites, selling in the stands, stocking the park’s warehouses, etc.

What can you do to stand with the workers?

If a strike occurs, workers are asking the public to respect their picket lines by not purchasing any food or beverages from inside the ballpark.

Fenway Workers Need Higher Wages

Even though Boston is one of the most expensive cities to live in, Fenway workers are paid considerably less than workers in similar stadium jobs in less expensive locales. A cashier earns $18.52 an hour at Fenway and $21.25 an hour at the Marlins Park in Miami. Meanwhile, a beer costs $10.79 at Fenway and $5.14 at the Marlins Park.

Fenway was the most expensive stadium to attend a baseball game in 2024. That same year, they generated $574 million in revenue. The question is: Why are Fenway workers paid peanuts when the Red Sox are worth $4.8 billion – the third-highest valuation in Major League Baseball?
